"Allectus" - chosen man; elite soldier

"Triarii" - 'third liner' veteran heavy legionary infantry

The Order of Allectus was formed May, 17th 2005 with the intention to honor veterans of the team who have played with the Pretorian Elite for years and should make officer. But due to the team’s size more officers were not needed so the Order was created to give them more of a voice in the administration side of the PE and to honor their accomplishments over the years. Allectus means the chosen man, an elite soldier. Any member of the Order is a force to be reckoned with as their personal drive and training with the team have made them an example of an elite paintball soldier. In Roman times the Triarii were the 3rd line of infantry, the most veteran soldiers, held there until needed at the last moment in the battle. The Order of Allectus is a council of Trairii, the PE’s most veteran enlisted men. We salute you!

Order Members

The patch of the Order takes on great meaning for its members. The shape is that of the Legion’s shield with the helmet of the Pretorian Elite indicating they are still a part of the unit. The gray color symbolizes their age of older members with the red that they have spilled metaphorical “blood” for the team, though in many cases its real blood. The gray chevrons indicate the rank of the Triarii and the red star a sign of the fighting Order. Topped off it’s the gladius over the entire patch showing that this is a an Order forged through combat.
